Social media and collaborations

These are challenging times but we keep positive (and stay negative)

With the first post we bring you some updates of what we have been doing. We would first like to say that we are happy to see that a lot of people are interested in our project and believe in what we do.

Even though the ongoing global pandemic still affects everyone’s life, within the TàT team we keep on working to pursue our dream to see the women's center of Imloul finished.

Despite living far away from each other, we are still catching up on a regular basis with the community of Imloul to carry on with the organisation of the project Our aim is to start the building site as soon as the global situation allows us to work safely again. Here we are during our last meeting!

Giulia was busy giving our website new vibes, while Aurora carefully organised our Instagram page, posting updates on our beloved moroccan village. Have a look at it!

We have also started a collaboration with Perma-Atlas, an association that promotes a program based on building swales and stone gabions to hydrate soil when rain falls. During heavy rainfall, water is collected and guided, slowed down and controlled downwards. The earth and stones are left behind and the gully is repaired after a number of rainfalls.

We think that the village of Imloul could benefit from this system, and a project for tackling the desertification could be incorporated into the current project of restoring the Women’s Centre.

Recently we also met Marco, an Italian agronomist specialized in regenerative agriculture. This year he founded AgroMetrica, through which he is working to eliminate hydrogeological disruption and seasonal droughts thanks to Keyline design.

He's helping farmers to move to more sustainable farming methods, improving soils quality and giving a new life to dried-out fields. Stay tuned to know more about him and his association: the website will arrive soon!

In the meanwhile, here below you can find two pictures of his work from a vineyard south from Rome, where water is spread uniformly to all plants, eliminating soil erosion.

He is now collaborating with us and currently further studying the results of a soil field test that our team of local builders, Allal and Ahmed, conducted.
