New Partnerships for Christmas!

Hello wonderful people!

Despite a global pandemic, this year has been a special one for many, but even more so special for the members of terre à terre asbl! We started from nothing, not knowing if anyone could believe in our project. And we are still here today, after a difficult year, with plenty of new friends and supporters who trust and encourage us! We are happy to see that many people are interested in what we do and believe in our project!

We dedicate this post to our new network of contacts.

Born as a spin-off brand of the italian farm “Cavoli e capre”, Erbivera produces cosmetics from goat milk. Their products are entirely made from locally sourced fresh milk - 100% made in Tuscany, Italy.

For this Christmas, they decided to support our Women’s House of Imloul project through supportive gift bags. These special gift bags are made out of leftover fabrics - sourced from textile producers and tailors – which are given a “second life”. Meticulously hand-sewed and customised for individual products, the bags can also be used in everyday life afterwards. Their aim is also to make ethical gift wraps which are sustainable. Sara and Laura - the entrepreneurs running Erbivera - are keen on assisting and empowering women. So far, they have achieved great results and we do hope that this is only the beginning of a continuous collaborative journey with them.

We received an encouraging message and best wishes from the president of the association of ANAB who also confirmed their partnership on our project. For us this is a great honour and we hope to further strengthen this connection with ANAB and actively collaborate with them in future projects!

Founded in 1989, ANAB is the first Italian architectural association that works on protection of the environment as well as promotion of ethical, cultural and material aspects of the profession. In particular it focuses on the health risks related to building materials and techniques, both for the benefit of inhabitants and the environment.

We are pleased to announce yet another exciting collaboration with Studio2111. An italian architectural studio which has a solid experience in building with earth and working in various African countries. Drawing on their years of experience of working with geometries of domes and vaults with locally sourced materials, we are now jointly exploring possibilities of incorporating these techniques within the Women’s House of Imloul.

We are happy to announce that our application to the open call “COOPÉRATION NORD-SUD” which was launched by the Commune of Schaerbeek - where we are based - has been selected and awarded a prize. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Commune of Schaerbeek for their confidence in our project and their support which will bring us a step further towards realising the Women’s House of Imloul.

We are proud of our Commune!

We wish you a Happy Christmas and a wonderful New Year !

Thank you for reading!
